Come along for the Melbourne Crime Guided Walking Tour just for Joy Members!

  • EXPLORE different crimes and mysteries connected to the Melbourne CBD. Crimes range from unsolved cold cases to terrorism, theft, missing persons, cyber-crime, fraud and even art.
  • LEARN about the role of forensic science and evidence gathering in solving crimes.
  • WE VISIT significant locations, consider the evidence, and ask questions.
  • OUR TOURS are interactive including activities, images, news articles and readings. We adapt the content to suit the age of the participants.
  • WHERE WE GO: Visit historic Melbourne venues, iconic buildings, lanes and arcades.
  • WHY: Unresolved crimes often highlight important social justice issues. Insight into crime can point out changes and challenges that we as a society should consider. Forensic science is a field of growing interest to many.  Greater awareness may help prevent or solve crimes

Tickets:

  • Early bird discount $40 per person (available till the Sunday 15th of September)
  • General Pricing $45 per person

Where/When:

  • Tour runs 11am to 1:30pm meeting in Federation Square and finishing near Bourke and Russell. Exact meeting location will be shared on the Joy platform.

Your Tour guide will be Meyer Eidelson and they are contactable on the day. Their number will be shared on the Joy platform.

What to wear/bring: Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring a coat/umbrella/water bottle if they wish.

Wet Weather:
If the weather is wet, we will take a more sheltered route.


Getting there: We would recommend catching public transport as it across the road from Flinders Street Station as parking in the city can be expensive and difficult.

  • Cancellations: If you can't make it on the day please comment under the event on the Joy Platform. You may organise another member to take your spot, please send them the information.
  • Please aim to check the event and your messages 1 hour before departing in case there are any last minute changes.  
  • Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you can no longer attend an event you have RSVPed for. This is out of respect for the host, other members and included as part of our community guidelines.
  • By participating in this event, you affirm your physical fitness and ability to engage in the activities involved. You also waive Connected Women from liability for any injuries sustained during the event, including those resulting from prior injury.  
  • Refunds available if a member can take your spot.
  • We need a minimum of 8x women for this event to go ahead. If we don't meet this number, the event may be rescheduled. If you can't make the new date, a refund will be given.
