An exclusive retreat in Bali

Back by popular demand after our successful Bali retreat in August. Join us for an exclusive Joy retreat in Bali with your host Em Falconbridge. Em has designed this retreat to allow you to delve deeper into yourself, enjoy a restful experience, and find stillness for reflection while also exploring a local side to Bali that tourists don't usually get to experience.

You'll be guided along Em's favourite walks, cafes, introduced to local friends of Em, and share some cherished creative and healing experiences. Em says that "Bali has been a source of profound healing and joy for me over the last 20 years, and I'm eager to offer you the same transformative experience".

For those new to Bali, rest assured that you'll be well taken care of and supported throughout your journey. The Balinese people are incredibly friendly, generous, and caring. You'll have the opportunity to visit traditional homes, be chauffeured by my trusted friends and savour delicious, nourishing food.

If you're a returning visitor to Bali, get ready for a magical experience - this won't be your typical holiday or tourist experience; instead, you'll immerse yourself more deeply into the culture and enjoy an authentic local perspective.

DATES: Tuesday November 5 - Saturday November 9, 2024

Investment:

$1927 AUD (private room): 3 spots available

$1747 AUD (twin share room, two beds): 4 spots (2 rooms) available

About the villa:

This beautiful private villa is located in Ubud and tucked away off a main road (walking distance to plenty of amazing coffee shops, cafes, yoga, spas + lush jungle walks). A private oasis just for our group. Owned by a lovely Balinese family, our money is going straight back into the local economy! Breakfast is cooked fresh daily by Komang and Ketut, who you will also find making offerings and available to help with any requests. Rooms all have AC, fans, their own bathrooms, WIFI and are cleaned daily by the staff. A sweet man named Deshu stays overnight in a room out the back in case anything is needed overnight.

Our days begin with shared breakfast then whatever activity is on the schedule for the day. There is a mix of artistic workshops, getting to know local friends of Em, favourite spots in the village and plenty of time for resting or connecting with other women. All of our meals will be absolutely delicious and a variety of local flavours and restaurants. Expect to pay around $15 for a meal + a drink (sometimes less). Walking is involved and there are many uneven pathways in Bali so let us know if there are any mobility issues and we can further explain and cater for you.

Em's gift is creating a nurturing experience & cultivating deeper connection to yourself and others through conversation, shared experiences, thought provoking journalling and a safe place to share what is on your heart.

Witnessing the Balinese culture and ways of life in a deeper way than the average tourist as you will meet many of Em's friends & visit some of their homes.

Further notes on rooms:

- Private room #3 has 'stepping stone' access and small stairs to access. Please enquire first before booking if you have accessibility concerns.

- Shared room #2 has it's own patio seating area overlooking the pool and gardens, and has 2 king single beds (pictured pushed together as a king, but will be separated with individual bedside tables). There is a small sitting area in the room, and a large indoor outdoor bathroom with access from the room and the patio.

Testimonials

The Bali retreat was a life changing experience. I made some beautiful new friendships and feel energized going forward. Em has created a wonderful program for the retreat and I highly recommend it (Joy member, August retreat)

Our host Em was truely amazing going above and beyond in every aspect of this retreat. I would recommend doing a retreat or any other activity with Em and certainly hope to do another with her in the near future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Joy member, August retreat)

I arrived at Em's retreat in Bali at my most fearful and lost, deeply sad and shutdown, broken into a million little pieces. Em's retreat was like a deep calming breath that slowly, slowly brought me back into my body. Through wonderful new connections, nourishing food, yoga and dance and visual journaling, I left the retreat feeling brave, strong, full of life and creativity as well as a renewed sense of self. Thank you Em ~ Jasmine (46)

I am so grateful for being a part of Em's Bali retreat last month. This experience really lived up to its name and it feels like words cannot even do it justice. Em's authentic, caring and easy going nature allowed everyone to fully enjoy this experience in their own way. Our beautiful art villa provided a nest for our nurturing experiences such as women's circles, art journaling, swimming, meaningful conversations and deep relaxation. Combined with delicious food and creative adventures, my soul has been nourished and my heart is now full. I would highly recommend attending a retreat with Em. You will be held and lovingly cared for ~ Lenka (48)
